Corneal ulcers occur when there is persistent irritation of the cornea by a foreign body, indrawn lashes due to trachoma injuries, prolonged keratitis, vit A deficiency and sometime even malfitted contact lanses and Dry-eye syndrome.
Ulcers can be treated by medicines, and occasionally by scraping and a lamellae corneal grafting.
Caution - Corneal problems like watering, photophobia pain + redness in the eye should not be ignored immediately consult an ophthalmologist.
